Israel Trip Payment Notice

The next payment for the trip to Israel is due next Sunday, June 18th. Sister VJ Lane will be in the Welcome Center after both services to receive your payment.


Graduation Celebration

Graduate season is upon us and on Saturday June 24th we will recognize all of our graduates with our Annual Graduate Luncheon and also on Graduate Sunday June 25th during the 11 a.m. worship service. Our theme is “Reach Back, Give Back, Stand Up!” All graduates, Kindergarten through post graduate work, are encouraged to come to the Sunday worship service dressed in your graduation regalia as we thank God for helping each of you reach this milestone. We also ask that the congregation wear your school colors or other paraphernalia on Sunday in support of higher education. So we might properly recognize all of our graduates, please provide your name, school, graduation degrees, honors, etc. and your photograph. All information was due yesterday. Information should have been placed in the Education Committee mailbox in the copy room on the lower level. If you did not submit your information, please do it today! Thank you.


2017 Vacation Bible School

Let’s Get Ready for our 2017 Vacation Bible School: "Super God! Super Me! Super Possibility!” This summer’s VBS teaches us that there is no greater strength than God’s Super Power within.  Registration is now open!  The 2017 VBS will be held from Sunday, July 16 to Friday, July 21.  You may register on-line at www.mtolivebc.org or return a completed registration form to the VBS mailbox on the lower level.  You may also join us on Sunday June 18th for a VBS Registration Event! VBS Staff will be on hand to register you and your family for " Super God! Super Me! Super Possibility!” VBS activities are planned for those Pre-K to Adult.  Plan now to attend and register your family and friends.


Scouting Open House

Mt. Olive’s Pack and Troop 505 will sponsor a Scouts Open House on Monday June 19th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Boys age 7-17 are encouraged to come out and meet other youth and scout leaders. Info is available for parents. Come see how scouting can help you to become prepared for life. Additional information is available in the information racks.


Women’s Ministry Meeting

Sisters of the True Vine will meet on Saturday June 24th at 10 a.m. in the Welcome Center.


Casual Summer Dress Attire

Mt. Olive is in casual summer attire until Labor Day.  Everyone is welcome to dress comfortably for the weather during the summer.

Last Sunday Sister Jessica Pressley presented her Senior Recital to benefit the Joyful Heart Foundation, which is a national organization whose vision is to have a world free of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. Important Membership Update:  We are currently in the process of updating our membership database and need your participation. Consistent with our Church's Vision Statement, we plan to use this information to foster effective and efficient communication among our membership. Church officials (including ministry leaders) will sometimes use this information to occasionally outreach to you and to notify you of selected church activities, cancellations of events, road/street closures, and other relevant information. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect on this profile.  We need for all of our members, including our young adults and youth to have a completed membership profile which is available online for your convenience.  To submit Online, go to Mount Olive's web homepage at www.mtolivebc.org, click on the Resources tab at the top of the page and select Membership Information Update. Parking Notice:  If you park on S. 13th Road in front of the church, please do not block the curb-cut in front of the access ramp that leads to the church entrance.  We have received a request from Metro Access to keep this area clear.  This will allow the drivers to properly assist our disabled congregants in departing from the van in safety. We appreciate your cooperative spirit in helping us to be a welcoming and accessible community.
