Our Vision, Mission & Core Values
Our Vision
Our vision is to be an inclusive family of believing Christians committed to growth in, and the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ, showing unity and Christian love in action by reaching out to our immediate community and beyond.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make each member a Christian disciple who can make more disciples as described in Matthew 28:19-20.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19-20. (NRSV)
Core Values
Love: “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
Trust: “So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another.” Ephesians 4:25 (NRSV)
Spirituality: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:1-2 (NRSV), “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” – John 4:23-24 (NRSV)
Family and Relationships: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” – Ephesians 5:25 (NRSV), “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Social Consciousness and Community Responsibility: “He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds; the Lord is gracious and merciful.” – Psalm 111:4 (NRSV), The saying is sure. “I desire that you insist on these things, so that those who have come to believe in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works; these things are excellent and profitable to everyone.” – Titus 3:8 (NRSV)
The Future: “The good leave an inheritance to their children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.” – Proverbs 13:22 (NRSV)
