April 2 Lenten Service Featuring Rev. Jeffery Johnson

Rev. Jeffery Johnson, Sr. has been preaching the Gospel for over 40 years and has served as a Christian radio broadcaster, workshop facilitator, evangelist, and pastor. He holds a Doctorate in Divinity from Carver Bible College and has pastored various churches throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. Currently, he serves as the pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfax, VA, since August 2004.

Under his leadership, Mount Calvary has emphasized family, community, and children’s ministry, and he has founded the Boys to Men Mentoring Ministry. Rev. Johnson has preached throughout the United States and internationally and is a member of the Northern Virginia Baptist Association. He has taught Systematic Theology at Antioch’s Bible Institute and is a certified counselor for the Prepare-Enrich Marriage Enrichment Counselors program. His ministry is guided by the scriptural theme from Paul’s Letter to the Church in Rome: “…So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the Gospel…”
