Nominations

The Nominating Committee is responsible for evaluating and nominating candidates for MOBC leadership positions for which the church membership will vote and thus affect the direction and operation of the church.

Each nominee shall be a church member in good standing known to consistently demonstrate a spirit of cooperation and interest in the church.

Position Descriptions

TRUSTEE

Trustees are empowered to provide management of the Church’s finances, maintenance of the building and facilities, tracking of church equipment, keeping all insurance policies up-to-date, and ensuring all legal requirements are met.  Trustees are also responsible for preparing the Church’s annual budget with the assistance of the senior pastor and ministry leaders.  Trustees conduct short and long-term fiscal planning, maintain salary ranges for staff, and annually review the salaries of those employed by the Church.

AT-LARGE ADULT CHURCH BOARD MEMBER

The At-Large Adult Church Member serves as the liaison/representative of the Church body. 

PASTORAL RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE

The Pastoral Relations Representative will serve as a liaison between the Pastor and the Congregation.  The position will require attending quarterly Church Board Meetings.  The pastoral relations representative will meet with the Pastor (as needed) to discuss any expressed needs or concerns from members of the congregation.
